Yes - most Central Florida homes are slab-on-grade, and LVP is one of the best options for exactly that. It's waterproof, handles concrete subfloors without acclimation issues, and feels far warmer underfoot than a hard-surface alternative.
The top wear layer is highly scratch-resistant, but it isn't indestructible. Dog claws and heavy furniture being dragged across it can scuff cheaper LVP. We recommend a 20+ mil wear layer for households with large dogs.
